Travelex runs the counter you want, in Terminal 2 (International), on the ground floor, directly opposite Departures Entry Gate 3. This isn't a guess — it's confirmed two independent ways: a real Google Maps business pin at that exact spot, matching the same location on Adani (the airport operator)'s own facility page. That kind of double-match is about as solid as airport forex sourcing gets.
Neither EbixCash nor Thomas Cook has an in-terminal counter at AMD — both were checked across Maps and web research, and only off-airport city branches turned up for either. If a search result points you to one of those inside the terminal, it's wrong.
Two terminals — and don't assume domestic means older
AMD has two terminals: T1 (older, domestic) and T2 (International — and, as of March 29, 2026, all Air India and Air India Express domestic flights too, following their full move from T1 to T2). If you're flying Air India domestically, don't assume you're in T1 just because it's a domestic flight.

ATM note: check the branding before you rely on it
T1's ATM is listed in some sources as Dena Bank — but Dena Bank merged into Bank of Baroda back in 2019, so the physical machine may now show either name depending on how recently it was rebranded. A separate, vaguer mention names an ICICI or other bank ATM near the entrance too, which may or may not be the same machine. If cash access matters and you're near this specific ATM, it's worth a quick look at the actual signage rather than trusting a name from a guide.
A real landmark worth knowing
Inside the terminal, there's a genuine statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — confirmed real, inaugurated January 10, 2011. Useful as an orientation point if you're trying to describe your location to someone, even if it's not forex-related.
